Ford offered its wood models in numerous model ranges from the 1940s to the 1990s. This very desired beautiful 1950 Ford Custom De Luxe model has ash and mahagony wood body and door panels. It is the perfect example of a stylishly acceptable motor car, fit for the parking lot of any country club, and , at the same time, a pre-eminently functional workhorse.
The Franklin Mint "Woody" model has good proportions, imposing luxury-look front end, and rich Hawthorne Green color corresponds to a plastic imitation wood. Many details from hard chrome parts. And nice detail: tail gate mounted covered rear spare wheel.
The model was made in 1987, but due to the high quality is easy to buy it at any auction a good piece.
