1960 Lincoln Continental Mk.V Convertible by Brooklin Models

Brooklin Models BRK 57X Factory Special - 1960 Lincoln Continental Mk V Convertible

This Factory Special came in March 2000 and was a top-up version of the 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Convertible. This top-up version is finished in a color that the Ford Company called maple leaf, actually it's a deep maroon metallic. It has more brown tones than the maroon of the BRK18 Packard. The interior of this special is finished in a two-tone platinum gold and pale mauve. The top is a deep shade of ivory and the baseplate is inscribed "Limited Edition Factory Special". 800 of this factory special were produced.
Unlike the base model, this Factory Special does not have chrome handles, but only a hint of them. The usual price of this model is also lower.

1960 Lincoln Continental Mk V Convertible by Brooklin Models

Brooklin Models BRK 57 - 1960 Lincoln Continental Mk V Convertible

The 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V was a luxury car that embodied the bold and extravagant design philosophy of the late 1950s and early 1960s. As the final model year of the third-generation Continental (1958-1960), the Mark V was the last of the "big-body" Lincolns before a major downsizing in 1961.

The 1960 Continental Mark V was notable for its massive dimensions—one of the largest unibody cars ever produced. It featured a sleek, squared-off design with a bold, upright grille and prominent tailfins, which were toned down slightly from previous years.

The standard Brooklin Model 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Convertible (BRK57) was released in March 1996 and deleted in 2009. It is finished in polaris white with cream/red interior, yellow license plate and whitewall tyres. For the last batch the body of the anniversary version was used with a different shade of white. This model has separate chrome door handles and narrow whitewall tyres. The chrome behind the rear seats is a little smaller and the two white parts on each side are separated and not cast with the body. Extravagant chrome trim, giving it a distinct luxury appearance.

1937 Lincoln Le Baron Convertible Sedan by Brooklin Models

BRK 172 - 1937  Lincoln Le Baron Convertible Sedan -Dark Blue / Tan

BRK 172 - 1937  Lincoln Le Baron Convertible Sedan - Dark Blue / Tan livery

Lincoln, the luxury flagship of the Ford Motor Company, produced just 977 automobiles in its regal Model K line as it emerged from the Great Depression, across an amazing 21 body styles. The low production total ensures that some individual designs can be exceptionally rare, and this is one of them. According to most informed estimates, Lincoln assembled just 12 examples of the Model K in 1937 fitted with body style 363-A, the LeBaron four-door, five-passenger Convertible Sedan.
In 1937, the man who owned this Lincoln Le Baron Convertible Sedan was at the top of his game!
This model Brooklin Model - Save the rubber tires, the windows, and the plastic interior and top, the whole shebang is done in painted, polished, or otherwise prettied-up white metal. That includes the wee door and trunk handles, the wheels, the radiator grille, both bumpers, and even the greyhound that rises off the top of the radiator shell.
This deep blue model is a charmer. I love the quality of these things; the paint (a new, water-borne process only recently put into use at Brooklin’s Bath, England factory) is nearly flawless, and it’s accented by the tightly-placed, tidily installed trim all over the car. Wide whitewalls fill the wheel arches perfectly, and the Lincoln that sits on the tabletop in scale is just as snazzy and elegant as the real thing.
A lack of side windows allows a peek into the cabin, and it’s got good representative detail on the dash and seats; there’s a proper steering wheel and a floor shifter, but don’t look for readable gauges or the like.
Is the lack of interior detail a deal breaker? Nope, and here’s why: These cars aren’t about gee-whiz detailing and get-the-magnifier working features. They’re about a fan base centered around a well-loved, distinctive line, hand-built by a tightly organized, passionately focused crew who know their collectors, and know them well. But I surely do know what I like, and I’m liking this little Lincoln a lot.

1956 Lincoln Continental Mk II by Franklin Mint

Mention the world luxury to an automobile aficionado and chances  are the first car he'll think of will be the Lincoln Continental. The original Continental had won great renown for Ford during the early 1940s and continued through the 1948 model year. The new Continental was not unveiled until  1956.
Like the earlier model, the 1956 Continental Mark II managed to convey a sense of style and class.  It was distinguished by a long hood and relatively short deck.  The aggressive grille and front wings are still here, and a luxury version initially added the spare tyre-shaped boot.  The interior  was, as  might be expected, a sort of parlor on wheels. When each Mark II left the Dearborn factory, it was wrapped in its own flannel-lined shroud which was not to be opened until the automobile reached the dealer.
This fine model in my collection is Franklin Mint from The Classic Cars of the 50's series. The clean, classic lines are faithfully recaptured in a perfect 1:43 replica with meticulous attention to finishing and detail. From the famous  "Frenched" headlights and distinctive hidden exhaust outlets in the rear bumper to the detailed engine and the ladder-style cross member frame. Chrome window frames are perfect, as the hood ornament. Black original color is perfectly polished as  on the original vehicle.
In the year 1987  model cost including delivery the American consumers $ 55.00, now you can buy it on e-Bay.

Two tone luxury interior

Nice detail of  exhaust outlets in the rear bumper and Continental logo.
