1958 Edsel Bermuda Station Wagon by Minichamps

The vertical grille was the focal point for criticism of the Edsel.

Nice detail - Ornament "E"

---------------------------

Ford had its Country Squire, Mercury had its Colony Park, and when Edsel made its debut for 1958, it would have its own deluxe Bermuda Station Wagon. Like its counterparts from the other Ford Motor Company divisions, the 1958 Edsel
Launched amid a colossal advertising campaign, Ford’s Edsel brand—named for the late son of company founder Henry Ford—was a short-lived venture intended to fill the price gap between Ford- and Mercury-branded cars. As one sales executive recalls, the Edsel was “the car for the young man on his way up.”

The Bermuda represented the highest trim level available within the Edsel brand for a station wagon,

In addition to deluxe interior appointments, the Bermuda also was outfitted with simulated wood panels and frames, a hallmark of premium station wagon models produced by Ford and Mercury.
To separate the Bermuda from Ford models, the Bermuda received Edsel's front fascia and vertical grille assembly as well as unique boomerang-shaped taillights. The shape of the taillights posed a problem when used as turn indicators – the left hand taillight appeared as an arrow pointing right and vice versa from a distance.

The model from Minichamps displayed the signature Edsel horse-collar grille, au courant wood-grain side trim, and boomerang-shaped taillights—an ill-conceived design element found on real Edsel wagons.  The spectacular body’s lines are reproduced perfectly. Only 1,008 units produced, but still available on eBay.

1949 Ford F1 PickUp Coca Cola Delivery by Mnichamps

The Ford F-Series truck has become a staple of the American road, enjoying unprecedented success in the Eighties and Nineties. The Ford truck has been the best-selling vehicle of any kind in America and the emblem of the truck mania that has swept through the U.S. auto market. Was there a single soul who could have imagined such a thing in 1948?
This is the first generation Ford F-Series produced between 1948-52 as a replacement for the previous car-based pickup line introduced in 1941. It had a flat, one-piece windshield a wider cab and integrated headlamps. F1 was the smallest of F serie 1/2 ton serving the broadest range of needs experienced by farmers, tradesmen, and merchants. Car was on the standard of today's small size. Only roof height was taller to accommodate the majority of truck owners who, as was the custom in those days, wore hats.

This model Minichamps is combination legendary brands Ford and Coca Cola - two door pickup model Coca Cola delivery (Official Licensed Product) in dark yellow color with matt black painted running boards. The grille composed of five thick horizontal bars and headlights resided in a recessed panel on the face of each vehicle. The ledge above the grille held chrome block letters that spelled out "FORD" and above this sat a large alligator-style hood with bright-trimmed "nostrils." The front bumper is painted in Coca Cola red color instead of the usual chrome. The same red color is applied to the wheels instead of the usual body color. All these details are faithfully captured in the model. The only inaccuracy is missing passenger-side windshield wiper. The pickup bed used a plastic imitation of hardwood floor with metal strips and wooden side panels. Coca Cola logo on the doors and the roof is very decently made. Model manufactured in 2010 can still be brought.

1949 Ford Custom Convertible by Minichamps

As automobile production resumed after World War II, offerings were limited to existing prewar designs, but by 1949, the Big Three had fresh, innovative concepts on sale. Ford was first, showing all-new 1949 models on June 8, 1948. They were as un-Ford-like as anything the public had ever seen. Slab-sided and streamlined, the company proudly announced that the New York Fashion Academy had judged Ford the “Fashion Car of the Year!
From a styling standpoint, the new Ford’s adopted slab sides, wrap-around bumpers, minimal trim, and bullet-adorned grille set it apart from most other cars on the road.
Two trim levels were offered: Standard and Custom. Although Ford’s station wagon was the most expensive 1949 model, the convertible carried the most prestige.

This.10 years old model from Minichmps absolutely meets the current standards of treatment. Excellent details, proper scale and nice interior are plus. Color is black.
I am  only disappointed in the quality of the painting on the sides of the model - not quite smooth as usual for Minichamps.
I do not know what he was thinking Minichamps FL letters in the model name. Ford does not know anything like that....Maybe L-head V-8 engine? Rather, it is nonsense.
Nice pictures of this model are there.
