1959 Mercury Commuter Station Wagon by Brooklin

An automobile marque of the Ford Motor Company, Mercury was founded with the purpose to market entry-level-luxury vehicles that were slotted in between Ford-branded regular models and Lincoln-branded luxury vehicles. The Mercury name is derived from ‘messenger of the gods' of Roman mythology.
The Mercury Commuter was Mercury's lowest-priced full-size station wagon from 1957. This model by Brooklin  (production run 1999-2005) is in original colors Canton Red / Marble White.
The panoramic skylight windshield  surrounded not only  the sides but also  flows back into the roof, which gave the Mercury Commuter an open air feel. And who said a wagon has to have a door pillar?
Notice pillarless hardtop styling, aircraft-inspired side sculpturing and fantastic rear light and fin.
The model could have even more of chrome, but has a nice emblem on the hood and wonderfully made rear lights.
